Role Models as Models

The theme is “What did your dreams cost you?” emphasizing the cost of breaking barriers to achieve your dreams. Each year, Rise casts role models - Olympians, astronauts, celebrity allies - to walk the runway during New York Fashion Week in support of gender-based violence survivors.

Survivors of sexual violence are too often subject to financial and career penalties in their pursuit of justice. One of the most common barriers that the show will highlight is sexual violence. The Rise Fashion Show will spotlight the economic cost of being a survivor. According to a recent study, the estimated lifetime cost of rape stands at $122,461 per victim, or a population economic burden of $3.1 trillion.

In partnership with elf beauty, the Rise Fashion Show will be held on the New York Stock Exchange trading floor on the evening of September 14, 2026. Our partner designers include Gasanova, La DoubleJ, Tanya Taylor, 31 Phillip Lim, Vestiaire Collective, Veronica Beard, M.M. La Fleur and Kim Shui.
